Low Priority Prescribing (LPP) indicator - NHS Oversight Framework 2019/20
On 19th December, we welcome NHS England and NHS Improvement who have worked jointly with NHS Clinical Commissioners and PrescQIPP to develop and publish CCG guidance on Items which should not routinely be prescribed in primary care and Conditions for which over the counter items should not be routinely prescribed in primary care.
In August 2019 a new LPP indicator was added to the NHS Oversight Framework 2019/20.
The composite indicator considers CCG prescribing against national prescribing goals for the 18 items included in wave 1 of the LPP programme.
The aim of this webinar joint webinar with NHSCC is to:
- Outline the underlying methodology used to create the prescribing goals for each item and CCG.
- Explain how the composite indictor is comprised.
- Ask questions about the methodology and indicator The presentation will be followed by a Q & A session
