Optimising medicines for adults with type-2 diabetes e-learning course

The e-learning course has been commissioned by the Eastern Academic Health Science Network and developed by PrescQIPP. The package is designed to support clinicians to implement NICE guidance on managing Type 2 diabetes in adults, with a particular focus on optimising the use of medicines to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.

It is has been designed for practice nurses, practice pharmacists, GPs and any clinician with an interest in the management of patients with Type 2 diabetes and can be freely accessed by all registered NHS users.

The package consists of seven modules covering all aspects of NICE guidance on the management of Type 2 diabetes in adults, and three case studies to test understanding and to demonstrate application of the guidance to clinical practice.

Each module has information and links to other resources which support the delivery of high quality diabetes care, and the rational and effective use of medicines.
