To increase the growth of registered pharmacy technicians within the NHS Gloucestershire ICB system including all sectors of our healthcare team (ICB, community, hospitals trust and mental health) whilst ensuring current workforce were upskilled and supported where needed.
To ensure a developing pharmacy technician workforce that would be fit for purpose and in line with the NHS Long term plan it was crucial to facilitate cross sector stakeholder partnerships that allowed trainee pharmacy technicians to work between a minimum of 2 different healthcare sectors.
Once qualified to provide attractive and purposeful recruitment opportunities that would benefit the system and our wider populations healthcare needs.
