This is a patient safety initiative aimed at effectively supplementing existing means of communication from the Medicines Safety Committee (MSC).
We desired to have a medicines safety newsletter that was relevant, attention-grabbing and insightful. The inclusion of as many of our colleagues as possible was important to us.
We wanted the Newsletter to be an additional weapon in our MSC's communication arsenal. We acknowledged that to communicate effectively we needed to communicate relentlessly, if something is important it bears being repeated and reiterated through different media. The Newsletter is a friendly and accessible means of achieving this.
