This campaign aimed to show how Derbyshire residents could live life well, with individuals best placed to look after themselves but with the support of services when required 'Be Self Care Aware' was launched by the Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in August 2018 with its messages permeating throughout the summer and autumn.
The campaign aimed to transform, encourage and empower both healthcare professionals and the public to self-care for minor conditions. Judged through its impact, the campaign had an unprecedented effect in getting the conversation going about self-care and winning hearts and minds.
The campaign objective was to make local people and staff more aware of the self-care campaign. Around the campaign we wanted to launch a debate about the idea of self-care and ultimately help shift people's thinking along the continuum of behaviour change. Through face to face, digital and print, the CCGs engaged with thousands and thousands of people.
