The former three CCGS which came together to form SNEE ICB had their own local recommendations which identified a range of straight forward medication switches to promote cost-effective prescribing, with no compromise in the patients treatment.
Each CCG had their own project to promote the recommendations and multiple technician switch protocols and guidelines were in place.
When we came together as an ICB, we recognised the need to work collaboratively on these areas and share resources and knowledge across the three new Alliances despite not being one team. We were also aware that we wanted to avoid duplication of work and streamline the process as much as possible.
