This project aimed to support GP Practices and Care homes to set up Electronic Repeat Dispensing for their residents through COVID-19 crisis, to reduce the footfall during the lockdown.
We targeted Care homes that had multiple GP Practices involved with their residents i.e. Care homes that have between 6-8 GP practices to order monthly prescriptions. Before the COVID-19 crisis, this was a task designated to a member of the care home staff to sort out and it usually took between 2 -4 days to get it sorted, because it meant the staff sorting out the residents into the different practices, then ensuring that she followed the steps for each practice too.
