This project aims for reduction in prescribing of inappropriate opioids, hypnotics, pregabalin and benzodiazepines.
This is facilitated with dedicated clinics lead by a GP with appropriate experience in this area and a patient welfare manager (a support worker who looks at social circumstances of the patient, housing, benefits, safe-guarding etc). The practice clinical pharmacist is consulted where necessary where complex polypharmacy exists.
