Cheryl Gresham from Nottingham City CCG and Laura Catt from Nottinghamshire Shared Medicines Management Team discussed their award winning innovative work on their 'Nottinghamshire Appliance Management Service (NAMS) project.
Development of this service provides easy to access, immediate clinical support for patients in primary care with a stoma, combined with reducing waste in prescribing of stoma appliances.
Cheryl and Laura covered the background to the project, the steps they took to commission the service and brought in their learning from the experience to guide others who may wish to follow a similar path.
They also shared the results so far and the positive patient reviews from having been looked after by the service.
