Demystifying Research in Primary Care - 16th October 2024

We welcomed Hadeel Mohamed, Deputy Head of Clinical Pharmacy SEL GP, PhD Researcher at University of Bradford, YH HIN Polypharmacy Clinical Lead.

Our expert speaker, Hadeel Mohamed, shared insights from her portfolio career path, discussing how she began her research journey and offering practical tips for pharmacy professionals wishing to get involved with research.

Hadeel Mohamed is a senior pharmacist prescriber with experience in both hospital and general practice settings. She is currently Deputy Head of Clinical Pharmacy and Education Lead for a GP Federation in Leeds.

Last year, Hadeel founded ENIGMA, a mentoring scheme designed to support female pharmacists from ethnically diverse backgrounds in developing leadership skills. This initiative is now offered nationally and available to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across all sectors.

Currently in her final year of a PhD at The University of Bradford, Hadeel also holds the position of Polypharmacy Clinical Lead for Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber. She champions advancing research within pharmacy through her involvement with the Primary Care Academic Collaborative (PACT) and as Research Lead for the Primary Care Pharmacy Association (PCPA).

As a member of the RPS Primary Care Expert Advisory Group, Hadeel is a strong advocate for the pharmacy profession and the critical role pharmacy professionals play in patient care.

In this webinar, we demystified primary care research, address common barriers and motivators, and outlined practical steps to increase involvement in research.
