Antimicrobial dressings have a limited place in therapy and should be used short term with regular wound assessment. They are not suitable for repeat prescribing.

B53: Silver dressings

Focuses on appropriate prescribing of silver dressings and ensuring they are prescribed for a maximum period of two weeks unless assessed by a Tissue Viability nurse.
